Salmond Reed believes that Education is the key to Heritage understanding, and we are here to make a difference. Salmond Reed provides quality advice and a broad framework for appreciating conservation issues.

We achieve this by keeping up-to-date with heritage matters and maintaining a strong inter-disciplinary team of 15 – 20 specialist staff with a wealth of practical experience and knowledge built up over years of previous project work in the field of conservation architecture.

We establish good working relationships with our clients and peers and strive to disseminate our expertise through the work we do and through educating others. We are committed to understanding our clients’ needs and to achieving results which go beyond their expectation.

The practice is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA) and uses their standard documentation and guidelines for all projects.

We also maintain memberships with the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), The Association for Preservation Technology (APT) the New Zealand Conservators of Cultural Materials (NZCCM) and the New Zealand Historic Places Trust (NZHPT).
